Our Facility
The Weston Outpatient Surgical Center is a 13,000-square foot ambulatory surgery center featuring four state-of-the-art operating rooms, two endoscopy suites and an on-site cryostat laboratory. All suites are fully equipped with ever advancing instrumentation including high technology monitors, lasers and microscopic cameras.

Located in the heart of Weston, an affluent suburb of Southwest Broward County, the center is a twenty-minute drive from a population of 600,000 people. With its proximity to routes I-75 and 595, the center conveniently services patients from Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties.

To assist patients to receive the care they need in time efficient manner, the center is housed within the Weston Medical Surgical Pavilion, a medical complex that includes the Weston Medical Suites, HEALTHSOUTH Diagnostic and Rehabilitation centers and the Weston Outpatient Surgical Center. With these services available in one location, patients are able to be seen by a physician, have a diagnostic work-up and then surgery if needed - all in the same day!

Although all of services available are independently owned, we have come together to create an unparalleled service to west Broward community. There is no outpatient facility in Broward County which matches the level of technology available at the Weston Medical Surgical Pavilion.

Our first floor location in the Weston Medical Surgical Pavilion includes ample adjacent free parking. Our spacious waiting rooms make family and friends feel comfortable while they wait for loved ones to recover. The recovery area is personalized with step down and private areas. Phase two recovery allows patients to rest in comfortable lounge chairs and enjoy music, read or watch television while they wait to be discharged.

Advancing technology and innovative surgical techniques allow for an increasing array of procedures to be performed on an outpatient basis. Our facility is equipped with cutting edge medical equipment and the latest surgical devices to allow physicians to perform the most effective technique for each case. We are dedicated to allowing patients and physicians the opportunity to benefit from industry advancements.

•Orthopedic and Podiatry Suites
They are equipped with Arthroscopy Towers with Digital Capture Systems that allow photo and video images to be placed onto a compact disc for easy post-operative viewing. Also available are a variety of lasers, microscopes and positional devices.

•Gastro-Intestinal procedural suites
They are outfitted with Pentax video colonoscopes and gastroscopes. Additionally, we utilize Dianon Systems for a higher standard in GI pathology.

•ENT suites
These feature the InstaTrak System three dimensional navigation system (the only one in Broward County!) for advanced Sinus and ENT surgery, a Leica Microscope and NIM monitor.

•General Surgery suites
These offer Stryker equipment for Laproscopic procedures.

•Cosmetic Surgery suites
These are furnished with PSI-Tech equipment.

•Radiological equipment
These include two OEC Series 9800 C-arms and a Fluroscan.

•Cryostat laboratory
An on-site laboratory is staffed by a Board Certified Pathologist and is available for examination of tissue samples.

The Weston Outpatient Surgical Center is staffed by a highly skilled team. The professional nursing and support staff are specially trained in the latest outpatient surgery techniques and recovery care. A nurse certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is always present to care for patients of all ages. Additionally, all anesthesiologists and pathologists at the center are board certified.

Orthopedic Surgery - The WOSC provides services for surgery of the foot, ankle, knee, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. We are equipped to perform arthroscopies of all joints, ligament and tendon repairs and reconstruction of bones and joints. Also, we are among the few ambulatory surgery centers to have an Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release System.

Gastroenterology - Colonoscopies and Upper GI studies are performed with a Pentax Endoscopy system. For patient comfort, either local or MAC anesthesia is utilized according to physician preference. Also, utilization of Dianon Systems allows for tissue studies to be done by a pathologist specializing in gastrointestinal tissue samples.

Otolaryngology - The VTI navigation system allows physicians a three dimesional view of the sinus cavity. The precision afforded to ENTs allow them to reduce the risk and trauma associated with sinus surgery. Additionally, the facility is equipped to provide facial reconstructive and plastic surgery.

Podiatry - From complicated debridments, to major reconstruction of the foot and ankle, our facility is equipped to handle the most serious cases. These include arthroscopies, and ligament and tendon repairs of the foot and ankle.

General Surgery - The center routinely performs laproscopic hernia repairs, tumor and cyst removals, mastectomies among other procedures performed by general surgeons.

Gynecology - The facility is equipped to do thermablations utilizing a variety of techniques and devices. Also, GYNs frequently perform hysterscopies and biopsies at the center.

Colorectal Surgery - We are always ready to accommodate patients in need of fistula repairs, tumor removals, sphincterotomies, sigmoidoscopies, and other procedures.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery - Weston Outpatient Surgical Center is prepared to handle a variety of Oral/Max procedures including facial reconstructions, removal of implants and tempromandibular joint repair.

Plastic Surgery - Frequently, physicians choose our location to perform breast augmentations, facelifts, rhinoplasties, tummy tucks and liposuction on their clients. Also, our surgical suites are equipped with Psi-Tech equipment for surgeons' convenience.

Urology - The center is outfitted to perform various procedures such as Urodynamic studies, bladder and urethra repairs and implantation of sphincter devices.

Pain Management - Patients in need of pain relief come to the Weston Outpatient Surgical Center to have epidural and selective nerve blocks, Radiofrequency thermal nerve ablation, IDETs, Discograms, Nucleoplasties as well as the implantation of pumps and spinal cord stimulators.
